The 11ICG was one of the largest gatherings of geosynthetics professionals in the world.

It offered two short courses: “Basal Reinforced Piled Embankments” and “Introduction and Mechanisms for Geo-synthetic-Stabilized Roads.” In addition, the conference offered a full schedule of training lectures and technical sessions, as well as meetings of the IGS Technical Committee, and technical visited to Korean geo synthetics-related companies and organizations.
